About Carna Zacharias-Miller

 carna and Bani

I am a certified EFT practitioner and a certified Stress Management Coach. I also do Matrix Reimprinting.

Originally, I was a writer. In Germany, I studied literature and philosophy, and graduated from the German School of Journalism, Munich. I worked as a journalist for a daily newspaper and public Bavarian Television before becoming a published author of novels, young adult and children's books, and self-help non-fiction.

After marrying an American, I moved to the United States in 1993, and now live with my husband and cat Bani in Tucson, Arizona.

In 2003 I self-published my first book in English: "THE HEART JOURNAL - A Spiritual Workbook".

In 2006  "THE MISSING MOTHER HANDBOOK - How to heal childhood abandonment and rejection with Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)" followed as an eBook. This book is still available.

I have been educating myself for many years in the area of spirituality, psychology, energy work, myths and fairy tales. When I came in contact with Gary Graig's EFT, a form of mindful acupressure, I knew I had found my calling as a mind/body/spirit practitioner.

The first session I experienced as a client took me right back to the time around my birth and the deep feeling of abandonment connected with it. (My mother was schizophrenic, and I grew up without her. My parents were divorced, and my father was absent for long periods of my life.) I experienced an emotional release that years of psychotherapy, as valuable as it was, could not accomplish. And so it became my desire and vision to help other women and men with similar issues to feel better about themselves.

Several years later, I discovered Dr. Silvia Hartmann's magical and innovative approach to life and healing. This opened a new door of understanding and therapeutic methods for me.

While I have been working with clients on their "missing mothers" for five years now, I often encountered "absent fathers". EFT turned out to be a valuable tool to ease the pain and create profound shifts in father-daughter and father-son relationships.
